Last month I introduced our Beyond Literature Program I am using with my girls this year. I am going beyond with out literature journey and touching on areas we have not yet touched in our home school. The first unit of this program is about the different types of literature and I am going to off it for FREE!

What Is Included in This Unit:

Notes Presentation:

Through PowerPoint Slides I introduce four basic types of literature. Each type is then defined and I dive deeper into a breakdown of sub types included with each.

Student Notes:

Divided into two levels, students can follow along with the PowerPoint presentation and fill in their own notes. This will help guide students to the important information needed to remember for future use.

Student Activities:

Fiction and Nonfiction: I created two leveled activities dividing books into the two categories based on book titles. The lower level is a cut and paste activity and the upper level activity asks the student to write the book titles into the two categories.

Types of Literature Books Challenge:

You can choose to either make a reading challenge or book sorting challenge out of the worksheet.
